To all my Dutch readers.
I am very grateful for all your support and the recommendations of my books that you have made.
It is thanks to you that The Throwaway Children appeared as number 83 in the top 100 books sold in The Netherlands in 2018, and here is the certificate to prove it!
I am delighted that it has been so well received.

Amazing news! An amazing picture!

Why is this picture on my website? The answer is almost unbelievable!

Two Dutch artists, Jan Heinsbroek and Deef Feed, have painted a mural in the inner city of Utrecht. They have transformed the side of a house into a book case. They asked around the neighbourhood for people’s favourite books, and included those in the mural. Imagine my delight and surprise when my Dutch publisher, Sabrina recognising one of those books as Dutch edition of my book The Throwaway Children sent me this picture to show me. Looking at this picture, the book is the last volume on the left hand side of the top shelf.

Thanks to all my Dutch readers who chose to put it there….you’ve made my day.
